Dear students,
These are difficult times for all of us, and I don't know about you, but I miss the routine and normalcy of being in the classroom. I hope you and all your families are well and staying safe indoors! Please take care of yourselves, practice social distancing, wash your hands as recommended, and be sure to take care of your mental health as well as your physical health. In order to help you with your distance learning, I will be posting additional resources on here that might be of help to you not just academically, but for your faith life and your mental health. I realize not everyone has access to a computer or internet at home, so these resources are solely for enrichment, not required work.
Please take care of yourselves! You and your families are in my prayers.
Best,
Ms. Salinas
P.S. Those of you in my homeroom class: I still pray our morning prayers and intentions in the morning, I hope those of you comfortable praying on your own will continue to do the same! I will post links to the prayers for your benefit.

Religion Resources
- Stations of the Cross: if you want to pray the booklet we prayed at St Mary of the Lake when we went around the church, here is a PDF of the booklet. However, it's in a printable format, so it's hard to follow if it's not printed and stapled. If you want one that's easier to follow in PDF form, click here.
- Common Catholic prayers: if you do not have some of the common prayers that we've prayed together over the year memorized, here is a link to them:
- The Rosary is one of my favorite forms of prayer; I try to pray a rosary every day. Here is a PDF to guide you through it. If you don't have rosary beads at home, you can always use your fingers to count!
- YouTube can also be helpful resource for religion! I've shown you Father Mike Schmitz's video on Ways to Read the Bible, and he has many more helpful videos on the YouTube channel Ascension Presents.
- You can read the daily mass readings at the USCCB website (this is where I print the readings for our masses when you volunteer to read at our daily mass!)
- I like reading the daily mass readings with Blessed is She, as this website run by Catholic women also provides daily devotions and reflections on the day's readings.
- And finally, we may not be able to attend mass ourselves, but rest assured private masses are still being held. Here is a link to today's (March 22nd) Sunday mass. A lot of Catholic Churches are recording and streaming masses all over the world!
Social Studies Resources
- Here is a link to John Green's Crash Course World History Channel.
- Quizlet also remains a helpful resource to review!
- And finally, not a resource, but here are the pictures from our last group project on the Aztecs and Mayans:
